Liturgical Ministries

Please fill in a Ministry Sign Up form to volunteer for any of the following Ministries.  These are general outlines of duties for all Ministries.  For detailed instructions, please contact the office.

All Ministers are expected to arrive around 45 minutes before Mass begins. Training is provided for each ministry and an expected commitment to each ministry is for 1 or 2 masses per month. The dates of training schedules will be updated on this page in the future. All volunteers and requires to sign the new Diocesan Model Code of Conduct. Some ministries also require a Police Information Check.

Altar Server

Assists the priest during Mass and must be 9 years of age or older.

Audio Visual

Operates the audio-visual equipment during Masses and special events. Responsible for the equipment such as the sound board, Mass lives streaming, ans PowerPoint presentation.

Children’s Liturgy

Adults and or teens celebrating the Word with children ages 4-12 during Mass. Leaders and Assistants needed.

Choir

Provides instrumental and vocal music to enrich out Liturgy.

Collection Counter

Counts collection from the weekend Masses, on Sunday mornings.

Eucharistic Minister

Assists in distribution of communion during Mass, must be confirmed.

Lector

Proclaims the Word of God during Mass, must be confirmed.

Mass Steward

Prepares church for Mass; ensures all ministers of the liturgy are present, for Weekday or Weekend masses.

Preparation of the Gifts (Offertory)

Presents gifts to the Altar during Mass. Families welcome.

Usher

Two Ushers are required for each Sunday Mass.  They will seat Parishioners in the designated spots within the church (to maintain physical distancing), hand out face masks, if necessary, direct the Communion line and assist with directing the exit of Parishioners after Mass.
